5 Signs God is Bringing You into a NEW Season
The thought of God pushing you into something better, and bringing you into a new season could seem a bit liberating. But not knowing some of the signs that he is doing so, could leave us feeling lost or being punished.
The Bible says “For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven”. This means nothing is meant to last forever. With these 4 signs, God is bringing you into something new that will help you identify the beginning of a new season.
This post is all about 4 Signs God is Pushing you into Something Better & Bringing You into a NEW Season
1. Something Feels Off
It’s a feeling. Something feels off, maybe a feeling of dissatisfaction, unfulfillment, out of alignment, or uncomfortable in an area you’ve once felt comfort and contentment.
Whatever area God is transitioning you away from you will start to lose peace in that particular area of your life. No matter what you do you just can’t seem to shake this new idea of life.
It’s a strong feeling of lack of interest that goes beyond having a bad day at work or an overwhelming day in general. But you’ve lost the desire and passion. This could be for a career field, or a relationship down to the city and state you live in.
I can speak for myself, I knew God was pushing me into a new season when I started questioning my “why” again and again – Why am I doing this again? What’s the purpose of all of this?
2. The Well has dried up
When God’s provision is no longer there know that it is time to move!
The story of Elijah at the well is the perfect example of this ( 1 Kings 17 ). It was in a time of drought when the Lord instructed Elijah to go to the well and all of his earthly needs would be taken care of. Food and water came to him supernaturally with little to no effort on his part. But the bible says that after a while the well or brook dried up.
It was time for something new. It was time for an unplanned, unprepared pivot. You can continue reading the story for yourself but The Lord was pushing Elijah into his next assignment.
No, we’re not called to a life of ease but does it feel like you have to fight tooth and nail for a fraction of what your peer is receiving? Maybe just maybe the well has run dry in that area of your life and it’s time to look to the Lord. He could be trying to get your attention pushing you into something new and bringing you into a new season.
3. He Prompts You
The Holy Spirit has a gentle way of nudging us. Planting seeds that just feel right.
It could come in the form of a thought, a question, a spark of inspiration, scripture, that internal voice, or stories in the bible that will minister to your Spirit.
It will speak to you down to your core and you will know with your entire being it was a prompting from the Lord. This nudging will feed your soul. That is a sure sign that God is bringing you into a new season.

4. Supernatural Opening and Closing of Doors
There will be supernatural doors that will open that just don’t make sense, and there will be supernatural doors that will also close for a reason. Getting a job that you’re underqualified for, or approved for a home that required more than you had to offer.
Some doors that close can sometimes feel like a loss and have you questioning God when in reality, it was a redirection. Him pushing you in the right direction and bringing you into your new season. He has a plan for your life and with the many detours we take his plan will prevail.
It isn’t until you step into that new season and look back, that you’ll see the hand of God throughout the entire journey.
5. Natural Breaks in Relationships
There is a time and season for everything, including our relationships. Some are meant to last a lifetime while some are pitstops along the way, only for a moment.
Sometimes there will be natural breaks. In some relationships, it doesn’t have to always end on bad terms but people simply outgrow one another for good or for a season.
Which is understandable when keeping (Ecclesiastes 3) in mind. (referring to the seasons of life)
Many times for us to advance in our spiritual walk and advance in the kingdom some relationships have to go on the shelf continuing on the journey.
