Welcome, I’m Alisha!
woman of god | Deep thinker | Wife & Mother | Memory Collector
After years of running my own race—doing things my way and chasing my own plans—what began as a still, small whisper from God to “start a blog” quickly turned into my grand vision: big ideas, big goals, and the pull of making it big.
But here’s the truth: when we’re not prayerful and discerning, the enemy can hijack the vision. He’ll twist what was once sacred and send us chasing after the world instead of our calling.
True story. It happened to me.
Now, after many detours and failed attempts, I’m starting again—this time in obedience and full surrender. I’m not doing this alone; I’m partnering with the Lord, letting Him lead and use me however He chooses.
Do I feel unqualified? Absolutely.
But I hold tightly to this truth: God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called.
And so, The Simple & Quiet Life was born—a space for the set-apart woman who desires to grow in her faith, share her story, and encourage others through the lessons learned on this journey.

The Simple & Quiet Life
In a world overflowing with noise, opinions, and pressure to do more, be more, and have more—I found myself craving less.
Less distraction.
Less striving.
Less of the world… and more of Him.
I knew deep in my soul I wasn’t alone. There had to be other women like me—women who weren’t interested in keeping up with the world’s pace, but instead longed for a simple, surrendered life led by the Spirit of God.
That’s when 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 met me right where I was and changed everything:
“Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.”
Christ. It really is that simple.
It’s us who overcomplicate it.
And so, The Simple & Quiet Life was born—not as a trend or aesthetic, but as a calling. A call to quiet the noise, return to what matters most, and walk in obedience to the mission of Christ.
